2024 Registration is now open! New members welcome!
Cream of the Crop CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) has been providing locally grown, farm fresh food to the Upper West Side for nearly 2 decades. We are proud to connect Manhattan to delicious, seasonal food that comes straight from the farm to your hands at our distribution site at W 86th and West End Avenue. Most questions are addressed on this website, but if you still need assistance after you’ve looked around, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Our veggies and optional fruit shares come from Hepworth Farms, a seventh generation family owned farm in Milton, NY on the banks of the Hudson River. The farm is lovingly run by Amy Hepworth, Gail Hepworth, and Gerry Greco. Hepworth's vegetables and berries are Certified Organic and they practice Integrative Pest Management when farming the rest of their fruit. We also offer a wide variety of optional shares that goes beyond produce, including milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, eggs, and meats from small family farms in upstate New York and Pennsylvania.

What is a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a partnership between a city group and regional farmers. During the winter and spring, the CSA farmers sell shares of their upcoming harvest to individuals, families, or institutions. The share price goes toward the cost of growing and distributing a season's worth of produce and paying the farmers a living wage. By supporting local farmers, our CSA members not only get freshly harvested produce once a week at affordable prices, but each member is also helping to preserve local and sustainable agriculture and farmland! If that’s not enough, members also enjoy connecting to their local community of food-conscious neighbors and can participate in potlucks, trips to the farm, cooking classes, and other fun events.
